Temperance smiled and nodded at Adam's reaction and reply to her favorite foods. It was quite an interesting combination but delicious as well. She watched as he messed around with his hot dog before sitting down. Tempy pulled hers away from the fire as well, it was good enough for her.
She nodded and waited patiently for Adam to return with the ketchup and buns. Tempy yawned and sat down on the log. She stretched a bit and turned to see what was taking Adam so long. She smiled when she saw him chatting, he could take his time, she didn't care.

Adam said his good byes to his friends and looked in the direction Temprence was. He didn't quite see her at first but he noticed her blonde hair first and saw she was sitting down. He jogged over, just in time to see one of those big guys making his way over towards Temprence.
"Hey! I'm back" he shouted out not to loud he didn't want to draw attention but he made sure it was loud enough for that loser to hear that he was with her and she wasn't alone. "I forgot the buns before." he said in his normal tone now that he was next to her again. He grabbed his hot dog stick and sat down next to her. "here you go" he said holding a hot dog bun out for her to take it.
As he was holding the bun out for Temprence Adam glanced up to notice the guy, he couldn't remember clearly but he believed his name was Jake from the past football games they had played at the bonfire, had stopped walking towards Temprence and seemed like he was shaking and looked pissed. Adam just smirked and made sure he saw it. Then Adam's attention was focused back at Temprence.
"were you ok while i was gone? no freaks came up to you or anything did they?" he asked her in a light joking tone. Slightly, Adam moved closer to her on the log and after she had taken the bun within seconds his hot dog was on the bun and he was just waiting for her to be done with the ketchup so he could apply some after she finished, ladies first.

Temperance had been watching the flames dance and reach for the starry sky when she heard Adam yell. She was brought out of her trance and she looked up, seeing the big guy for the first time. She smiled to be polite and lifted her head to watch as Adam came around to sit beside her on the log.
She smiled at Adam and took the bun he offered. Thanks. Ah, I see. She said and smiled. Tempy put her hot dog in the bun and added the ketchup. She handed over the ketchup to Adam and looked up at the guy who had been walking toward her.
He had stopped and he seemed really angry. So angry that he was basically shaking. Tempy frowned and looked away. She didn't notice when Adam scooted closer, she just leaned in to ask him something. Is he okay? She whispered. Tempy looked over at the guy once more and then looked back at Adam.

When Temprance leaned in closer to him he had bitten his hot dog and he was about to swallow when she asked him "is he ok?". At first Adam had no idea what she was talking about. He finished swallowing slightly confused at her question. Soon he saw her look in the direction that chump was standing and he looked up too.
As he started to walk towards them again, after his first step one of the other guys held him back and patted him on the shoulder and turned him around and was talking to him as if he wasn't just shaking uncontrollably. Adam looked back at Temprance and shrugged slightly "I have no idea?" he finally answered then looked back up to see no one there, well not those two big guys, just girls. Adam looked back at Temprance not interested in what he just saw and smiled. "but i do know, I make a good hot dog" a smirk stretched across his face as he complimented himself and bit into it again

Temperance watched as the guy moved toward them again and was held back by one of his friends. The friend turned him away from them and led him in the other direction. Tempy looked over at Adam when he said that he didn't know what the problem was with the guy. She shrugged.
Tempy took a bite of her hot dog and smiled. It tasted really good. She chuckled softly and watched as the smirk appeared on Adam's face. She bit into her own hot dog before replying. I wouldn't know. She said and smiled.

After his third bite he sat up straighter. "ugh.. I forgot the drinks." he said with a sigh before and another after. He was just getting comfortable too, next to her and all. damn.." he added on.
"What do you perfer? sprite or coke?" when he finished saying 'coke' his eyes were on her again waiting for her to respond. He was really wishing he had remembered. All he wanted to do was sit and talk to this beautiful girl and get to know her better. Also with those creeps staring at her it kind of made it uneasy to leave. Adam didn't trust those guys for the life of him.

Temperance looked over at Adam when he began speaking. She smiled softly. Coke would be great, thanks Adam. She said and smiled. Tempy took another bite of her hot dog and looked over at the big guys. They were all staring at her. That was weird and creepy. Why were they staring at her?
Was it because she was new or just because she was female. Tempy wasn't sure but something told her it was the latter of the two. She swallowed and tore her gaze way from the guys and took another bite of her hot dog. If she didn't pay attention then maybe they would stop staring. But her gut was telling her that that was a lie.

Adam walked off quickly trying to find where the drinks were. These creeps better stay away if they knew what was good for them. When it came to girls, Adam was very protective. He liked having his own things and he didn't like sharing. Not in the way that these assholes were thinking. When he found the drinks he popped the top and saw just ice in there. He sighed heavily and headed off to find some more.
The night was just getting started as people were still showing up. It was crazy. It was Saturday, and bonfires was the only thing kids did to hang out over the weekends when school wasn't the next day. Adam tried to dodge all of the people he was farmiliar with so he could get back to Temprance as soon as possible.

Temperance watched Adam walk off. Wow, he was going really fast. She sighed quietly and returned to her hot dog. She took a bite and swallowed before looking around. It was getting really crowded. She smiled as some guys jacked off and began 'play fighting' just for laughs. She chuckled and took another bite of her hot dog.
Then Tempy felt a heavy gaze on her once more. She frowned and swallowed her food before glancing up. Her gaze went right to where those guys were, she didn't have to look anywhere else to know that it was them. She looked away and slightly shivered. Just a bunch of creeps. Tempy sat up a bit straighter and looked around. Where was Adam? What was taking him so long?

Adam made his way back to Temprance with a sprite and a coke in his hand. He decided not to jog, he didn't want to come off like he was trying too hard. He saw her and was happy to see no one around her, not that he wouldn't mind if she had friends or some of his friends were around. He was just happy that Jake kid wasn't in sight. He probably got the hint.
As he got closer to her and snuck up from behind her and held the coke right in front of her face and smiled "here you go, madam." he said in his best impersonation of an english accent. Once she took the can he jumped over the log and sat down again next to her and opened his can of sprite. Adam didn't mind drinking and he would have taken a beer, those were a lot easier to find than sodas but Temprance didn't drink and he was perfectly fine with that. He didn't want to make her feel the least bit awkward.

Temperance had been staring off in space when a coke was suddenly in her face and she heard someone imitating a British accent. She jumped slightly and took the coke with a smile when she recognized who it was. She opened the can and watched as Adam jumped over the log and sat down next to her. Thanks. She said and smiled once more.
Tempy took another bite of her hot dog and then washed it down with a sip of her coke. She sat the coke on the ground so she could adjust her pony tail. After doing so, she picked the can back up and took another drink.

"miss me?" he asked her simply and in a bit of a cocky tone. Looking over at her a small smile spread across his lips. He had finished his hot dog and he was just holding onto his sprite. He thought he was going to want another hot dog that why he got an extra but he was full for now, surprisingly. She could have the extra if she wanted, it was all hers.
"so are you enjoying yourself?" he asked her. They weren't doing much but it beat staying home. They were out and it was a nice night. The wind was not that bad and it wasn't raining, so that was a total plus.

Temperance laughed quietly and finished the last bite of her hot dog. She swallowed it and took a sip of her drink before looking over at Adam. A little bit. She said and smiled. She had missed him some, it was better now that he was here because she wasn't alone and those creepy guys would stop staring at her when he was around.
She looked away to glance at the people around her. It seemed like everybody was enjoying themselves. That was good. She stretched her legs out and took a sip of her pop before replying to Adam's question. Yeah, I am. The bonfires here are just a little bit different than the ones in Australia. But they are practically the same thing. She said. Tempy looked at Adam and smiled once more. She really was enjoying herself.

((Hope you two don't mind if I join. I figured someone needed to come in and referee the pack. =D))
Claire had been near to bouncing out of her seat all day from excitement. Usually her Saturdays were spent with Quil, but apparently they had important pack business to take care of, so she'd been left to her own devices all day. Not usually the best idea, and especially not when she's looking forward to something. Bonfires had been her favorite events down at the reservation for as far back as she could remember, but for some reason she was abnormally excited about the one tonight. It most likely boiled down to finally being able to see Quil.
It was almost ridiculous, how much her life revolved around him. Her friends teased her for it all the time. But, really, could anyone blame her? Quil had been like a third parent to her, had been there for as long as she could remember. It was only natural that as she grew older her feelings toward him grew, first from a brotherly love, to friendship, and then to where she was now. She wouldn't say she was in love with him, but she certainly wanted to be more than just his best friend. It was a wonderfully confusing situation.
As it were, she skipped out of her cousin's house at sundown, making her way down to First Beach with a grin spread across her face. She'd missed the entire pack. Hanging out hadn't really been on the agenda for awhile now, a fact that saddened her. The entire idea of moving down to La Push was to see the guys, and it seemed like they'd been around less sine she came. Ah well, she thought, smiling to herself. You'll see them tonight.
And see them she did. They stuck out from the rest of the group, standing at least a head over everyone. Claire laughed and headed over to them, saying, "Oh good, you left food for me," teasingly. Then she noticed that they seemed to be holding Jacob back, and that their focus seemed to be toward the couple sitting by the fire. Later it would occur to her that it was odd to see Jacob being the one held back since his focus was usually on Bella as far as girls went, but for now she simply rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Really, guys, you're gonna scare someone. Knock it off."
After that admonishment she headed over to the fire, pausing a couple feet away from the pair who she didn't recognize. "I'd like to apologize for them," she started, motioning to the pack behind her. "They're usually better behaved, but they seem to have forgotten their manners tonight."
